Token is currently available for sale on our website at tokenring.myshopify.com only.

No problem! Order our Fit Kit and get demo rings for each size we offer. Try them on at home and find your size before you buy.

Our ring is currently capable of secure, contactless payments as well as building access with HID Seos devices. We're working on expanding these features as well as adding new applications such as FIDO-based authentication, mass transit cards, and much more.

While your phone is capable of contactless payments, and in some cases building access, you need to retrieve it from your purse or pocket and then authenticate with your fingerprint, face, or passcode before you can use it. With Token, your ring is always on your finger, authenticated and ready to go.

The Ring

The smart ring with an on-board fingerprint sensor and secure element.

Once your ring is setup and your credentials are added, you don't need your phone to use Token. Everything is stored on the ring's secure element and once it's authorized with your fingerprint, you can leave everything else behind.

Token's fingerprint sensor is smaller than the one on your phone, so the ring needs several images to build an accurate representation of your fingerprint before it stores that template securely.

We're currently evaluating Token's battery life, but on average you should be able to use it several days before needing to charge it.

Ensure your finger is clean and dry, as moisture and your skin's natural oil can prevent the ring's fingerprint sensor from getting an accurate scan. Also make sure your ring is clear of any obstructions and clean the fingerprint sensor before attempting to authenticate. If you have any further issues, you can contact our support team and we can help you factory reset the ring to recover it.

Token is currently available in Brushed Silver and Black Carbon, but we're exploring other finishes for later releases. Engraving is not offered at this time as we cannot ensure that it won't damage the internal components of the ring.

Though your Token is made from durable materials and meant to be worn everyday, you may incur some normal wear as any piece of jewelry would. That said, if you notice any significant issues with the quality of your ring, you should contact support so we can help.

In order to communicate with a payment or access badge reader, each Token has a small panel on the bottom to allow wireless passthrough. Without it, the metal ring would block this communication entirely.

While Token is not meant to be submerged for long periods of time, the ring is currently being certified for water resistance and we expect that washing hands, showering, and even swimming should be safe while wearing your ring.

Security

How Token keeps your identity and data secure.

Token stores everything to the ring's on-board secure element, including your fingerprint and your credentials. Once registered with your fingerprint, the ring only works for you after authenticating and wearing it. When you remove the ring from your finger, Token automatically locks until you authenticate again.

No, your location data is never tracked. Your ring does not include a GPS unit and the Token app only uses Bluetooth for communicating directly with the ring.

Without your fingerprint to unlock the ring, all of your data (including your fingerprint template) is stored safely on the ring's secure element and is effectively untouchable.

Yes, but you'll only be able to register the fingerprint of 1 of your fingers with Token. So if you switch your ring to another finger, you won't be able to authenticate unless you decide to factory reset and register that finger instead.

If something happens to your finger, please see a medical professional immediately. If it's the finger you used to register your Token, contact customer support and we'll get help you factory reset your ring and register another finger.

Token can only be registered with a single fingerprint, so no one else can authenticate with your ring or use your credentials.

Token uses several layers of security to protect your data. Your credentials are stored directly on the ring's secure element, and the Token app must be paired to an authenticated ring before it can be unlocked to display those credentials. To use Token, the ring must be authenticated with your fingerprint and be on your finger. You also need to knock twice with your authenticated ring to initiate a payment or gain building access.

Token saves your personal information for order fulfillment and customer service purposes only and does not share or sell this information. If you'd like us to delete this information entirely, please contact Token support.

Payments and Transactions

How Token allows secure, contactless payments using your existing credit and debit cards.

While your ring is authenticated and on your finger, simply knock twice and hold your ring hand over the payment terminal. Your ring should display a purple LED and the terminal should beep and show that a transaction has occurred.

After adding a payment credential with the Token app, your credit card is stored directly on the ring's secure element. It is not transmitted to our servers or even saved in the Token app itself.

Token works at most locations that accept Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, or Google Pay in the United States. Token is not certified to use internationally, but will be once we launch globally.

No, token does not have access to your payment transaction history. You'll need to contact your financial institution to review those transactions.

Only your credit card is securely stored on the ring, none of your personal banking information is collected by Token.

More secure than swiping your credit card, payments over NFC cannot be intercepted wirelessly for the purpose of stealing your credit card number.

The App

The Token mobile app for iOS and Android helps you setup and manage your credentials.

Once you've downloaded the free app for iOS or Android, you'll use it to first setup your new ring and then to add credentials to it. Communication with the ring is done over Bluetooth and everything is saved securely on the ring, not in the app itself.

Token takes a decentralized approach so that you don't have to sign up for yet another account and your credentials are never shared with us.

To run the Token app and connect to the ring, you'll need a Bluetooth-enabled smart phone running iOS 11 and higher or Android 9 and higher. For more information, visit the Token App page.

We currently do not offer a web-based method of managing your ring or credentials, everything is done using the Token app for iOS and Android.

We make regular updates to the app by way of bug fixes, feature updates, and UI changes. You can see a list of these changes in our release notes.

The Charging Stand

The Token charging stand looks great and keeps your ring powered up and ready to go.

Token's charging stand uses a typical USB (Type A) cord for powering and charging the ring.

When your ring is on the charger, it will show a breathing white LED until it is fully charged, at which point it displays a solid green light. When not on the charger, tap the ring once and it will show you a red (low battery), yellow (battery is in the mid-range), or green (battery is charged) LED.

If your charger has been lost, or if you believe it may be damaged, please reach out to our support team for further assistance. We will help identify any issues and work with you towards a resolution.

Orders, Refunds, and Cancellations

Token is currently available for purchase for US customers only.

Customers who've ordered Token should have received an email with options about their order. If you did not receive this email please contact us at [email protected].

We're currently taking orders from US customers only, and can only ship domestically. We plan on opening up international orders in 2021.

Token provides a 1 year limited warranty from the date of delivery. The full details can be found in our Warranty Policy.

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you may send back your item within 30 days of your original purchase and request a full refund. To initiate your return, please notify us at [email protected] and we will provide you with your return details.
